On behalf of everyone at Alberta Pulse Growers, we thank
the scientists, agronomists, technicians, students, industry
players, medical professionals and others who made these
27 projects possible. We salute your passion, expertise
and dedication. Thanks to you, we are making a difference
for Alberta's pulse growers.
The past year has seen significant changes in the line-
up of funders, with the launch of the Integrated Crop
Agronomy Cluster and the Canadian Pulse Research
Science Cluster, the change from Growing Forward 2 to
the Canadian Agricultural Partnership, and the closing
of long-time research funder the Alberta Crop Industry
Development Fund.
We believe that the 27 research projects presented in this
report directly contribute to the growth of a successful,
sustainable and profitable pulse industry. As this new
industry takes shape, our research priorities will also
evolve to address new issues and opportunities as they
arise.
