Associate B. Comm (2005, Honours), LLB (2011) Kirk is originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In 2005, Kirk obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan, with High Honours in Marketing and Great Distinction. With his background in business, Kirk worked as a Senior Credit Administrator for a large automotive finance company. During his work experience, he solicited payment, skip-traced, managed delinquent accounts, and responded to the inquiries of thousands of retail automotive financing customers Canada-wide, while obtaining exposure to security agreements, repossessions, bankruptcies, estates and insurance losses. Prior to the law, Kirk also acquired experience in business plan development, sales, advertising, focus groups, corporate sponsorship, and the planning and hosting of a large business seminar. Kirk moved to Alberta in 2006, and joined Birdsell Grant LLP as a summer student in 2010. Kirk earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta in 2011. He completed his articles with the firm, and is currently continuing his practice as an Associate. Kirk carries on a general practice, in the areas of real estate and property, corporate and commercial law, litigation, wills, estates, trusts, employment law, personal injury law, family law, and alternative dispute resolution. Kirk has appeared on behalf of clients in the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta.
