Associate B. Comm (2007, With Distinction), LLB (2011, With Distinction) Caeleigh is originally from Turtle Lake, Saskatchewan. She completed her post-secondary education at the University of Alberta, where she earned her Bachelor of Commerce in 2007, and her Bachelor of Laws in 2011. Caeleigh also spent one semester abroad, at Queen's University in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Caeleigh joined the firm in 2009, as a summer student. Caeleigh completed a clerkship at the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta before rejoining Birdsell Grant LLP in 2012. Caeleigh completed her articles with the firm, and is currently practicing as an Associate. Caeleigh practices in all areas of law, including general civil litigation, family law, personal injury law, employment law, wills, estates, residential real estate, as well as corporate and commercial law. Caeleigh has appeared on behalf of clients in the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta. During law school, Caeleigh served on the editorial board of the Alberta Law Review. She also competed in the Alberta Court of Appeal Moot Court Competition, and the Clinton J. Ford Moot Court Competition. Caeleigh was recognized for academic excellence and participation in extra-curricular activities, including the Chief Judge Nelles V. Buchanan Memorial Scholarship in Litigation, Chief Justice Bruce S. Smith Prize, Dr. Alexander Smith, Q.C. Prize in the Subject of Contracts, David Mochan Memorial Prize in Criminal Law, Louise McKinney Post-Secondary Scholarship, and the Honourable Mr. Justice Alexander (Andy) Andrekson Memorial Scholarship. Caeleigh enjoys being involved in the community. She currently volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House Northern Alberta, and has previously been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters Edmonton. In her spare time, Caeleigh enjoys sports, spending time at the lake, and traveling.
