Available in both solid and engineered constructions, the Chisel-cut Alder Collection is handcrafted from selectively graded rustic red alder for the ultimate look in craftsman flooring. Chisel-cut Alder, Rustique Solid Plank Finishing This pre-finished hardwood is as authentic and historic as it gets! Our solid planks will provide the look and longevity that you expect from wood flooring. With a very thick, top-quality and re-finishable polyurethane coating, floor will improve in character over time. Epoxy filled knots and precise milling with end-matching on all boards. Air-dried, scratch-resistant polyurethane low VOC finish. Antique Alder gloss level: Satin 20º. Chisel-cut Alder gloss level: Low oil look 10º. Engineered Plank This plank is made to look exactly like our solid wood flooring. By engineering a wear layer of solid wood over solid-sawn backer (see diagram at left), we create even more stable flooring which can be used in below grade installations. The ultimate choice for truly historic looking flooring with the added benefit of modern engineering stability.
