He was showing off to an older couple who had asked him to open it up, which he did eagerly. In retrospect
he thinks he was a li le too eager. The noise caught the a en on of the police. The officer that was involved
was excellent, Dave says. "He was really curious about the car and just wanted to make sure it wasn't illegally
running nitrous."
Dave is o en approached by people to ask him to build a similar car for them, but he quickly says no. "I keep
promising my wife that this is going to be the last one. My next one will be the last one," he says, and takes a
quick look over to his wife to see if she's buying it. Yeah there's always a next project for a guy like Dave.
"There is a 383 in front of that windshield."
