RED WHITE
& COOL
Finding a 1931 Ford A Coupe is a rarity by all accounts. So when the Vanderhelms had a look at the chassis
si ng in an old barn in Alberta in 1998, they could not imagine what that chassis would become or how long
it would be in their lives. But they both knew it had poten al.
Thirteen years later, that car would take second and first in local car shows, but for six years the car just sat
in the Vanderhelms' garage untouched. Rob knew the car needed a lot of structural work and fabrica on and
welding wasn't his strong suit. It wasn't un l 2004 that he rolled the vehicle into a local Edmonton hot rod
garage. It would be another year and a half un l it would roll back out and he'd be able to sit in it comfortably.
