Our designers and architects consider how the building will relate to the types of functions that occur within it and, more importantly, the economics of construction, business and the community. Architecture | ATB provides a broad range of services to clients. From traditional architecture, urban planning, interior design services, construction and design-build programs, to specialized consulting, financial and technical partnerships, Architecture | ATB's professionals understand our clients' challenges. With a staff compliment of 48, Architecture | ATB is among the largest firms in Alberta. Our approach is multi-disciplined, fusing expertise in architecture, technical consulting, engineering and construction disciplines. As part of a team working with the owner, contractor, stakeholders and engineers, we create distinctive projects with functional designs that meet our client's requirements and the user's expectations. Designing space requires thoughtful planning and innovative problem solving. We understand both the human and technological factors that drive a successful project and we believe that our design process—individually tailored to each project— results in finished buildings that through innovation will remain fresh and undated despite changing architectural trends. Technology and sustainability are also key elements of our design ethic. Our capabilities are strengthened by specialized market expertise. We have an in-depth understanding of the retail market, entertainment and cultural facility design, single and multi- family residential design, urban planning, commercial and institutional design, hospitality facility design, interior design, industrial design, graphic design and branding. Our team is able to address all aspects that ensure a successful project. 6 architecture interior design urban planning sustainable design master planning project management community liaison public engagement graphic design & branding signage & wayfinding design information solutions client representation space planning tenant coordination s e r v i c e s & p h i l o s o p hy We have organized our services to support our clients at every stage in the real estate and facilities cycle, from initial strategy planning through design and construction. Architecture | ATB's philosophy is about matching people with architectural solutions. Each design is a combination of architectural creativity and experience with the requirements and needs of the client group. Our primary objectives are to establish absolute client trust, to provide complete client satisfaction and to develop cooperative relationships with all parties involved. Our team has been fortunate to be able to provide our clients with innovation, creativity and value-added initiatives in the many projects with which we have been involved. a r c h i t e c t u r e | a r n d t t k a l c i c b e n g e r t Crestwood Lane a r c h i t e c t u r e | a r n d t t k a l c i c b e n g e r t 7 s u s t a i n a b l e d e s i g n Century Park office building Architecture | ATB has developed many LEED® Gold and Silver standard buildings including office buildings, commercial retail, industrial, hospitality, multi-family residential, municipal, protective services, recreation and health sector projects, as well as urban village concepts and award winning sustainable neighbourhood and building design. As an example, the Emerald Hills Urban Village (EHUV ) is a neighbourhood development covering just over 20 hectares (50 acres) in the community of Sherwood Park. It is embedded in the Emerald Hills Area Structure Plan, a 120 hectare (300 acre) development. The EHUV was selected by the Sustainable Buildings and Communities (SBC) group, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), to be the site of the first Sustainable Urban Neighbourhood (SUN) Pilot Project. Architecture | ATB is a strong advocate of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) program. Our partners have been designing projects in Alberta, British Columbia and the harsh climates of the Northwest Territories and use this experience in the design of each project. The firm is certified by the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) and the United States Green Building Council. We currently employ five LEED® Accredited Professionals. We believe in following LEED® practices as a checklist throughout the design process, and working with client groups to ensure that energy efficient measures are reviewed on a continual basis. We seek to achieve not only ecological, but also aesthetic harmony between a structure and its surrounding natural and built environment. a r c h i t e c t u r e | a r n d t t k a l c i c b e n g e r t a r c h i t e c t u r e + i n t e r i o r d e s i g n + u r b a n p l a n n i n g
