Neil Perry had a vision. What would a brand new 1969 GMC half ton look like, if they rolled a new deluxe truck
off the line this year. He kept a lot of the vintage feel, but did some slick little upgrades.
He knew he wanted to keep the suspension fairly stock, but he still managed to slip in a front end off of a '71.
In '69, they were still running front drums, but now he had discs instead and a beefed up sway bar to go with
it. New springs in the front and rear allowed him to drop the ride height by 2" on all 4 corners and give the old
brute a new stance.
Neil liked the look of the old lights, but it's a scary thing over driving your headlights with a hot rod, so new
headlights were tucked behind the old bezels to give a brighter outlook. Along with that, some of the other
lenses were swapped out for clears and new LED's tucked in behind them.
