ANGLIA
As a young man, Dennis Mar nuk liked the less popular cars;
he wanted something different. "Growing up as a kid, my first
car was a 1970 AMC Machine; it was an oddball. Everyone
else was driving Camaros and Mustangs. I wanted something
different." So when Dennis and his wife Debbie started
looking for a street rod, the only criteria they had was it had to
be different. And different is what they got.
About 15 years ago, Debbie no ced a For Sale pos ng in a
local Soda Jerks restaurant and suggested they look into it.
"Truthfully, I didn't even know what an Anglia was at that
me," Dennis says with a laugh. "But it was unique and that is
what we were looking for. It was something different."
The car was in reasonable shape when they bought it and
would go on to drive it for about five years, before they made
the decision to overhaul it.
