Lorne Armitstead was looking at a fibreglass '33 as a project car, but hit a snag with the
Canadian import laws and couldn't bring it up from California. Turning his sights more lo-
cally, he then found a '33 body and frame in St Albert, Alberta. "I was initially looking for a
'32 but decided that I like the look of the '33's more." The body was just a starting point, as
Lorne would go on to greatly alter it himself. The previous owner hadn't started it yet, but
had acquired the body, frame and a few other parts.
