deliver prac cal farm safety educa on
and awareness resources to enable
and encourage Alberta farmers and
ranchers to improve on-farm safety
programs and prac ces.

She added that there's a lot
going on right now in the area of
environment, especially with the
focus of the Alberta government
and the new APF (Agricultural Policy
Framework) being developed.
"CSWG has new members from
both the staff perspec ve and the
producer perspec ve," Briody said.
"It's a broad group from seed growers
to the big four crop groups and
irrigated crops like potatoes and sugar
beets, so it's really of value to the
crop sector, bureaucrats and policy
people because they can come to one
place and talk to a variety of groups
instead of going to many different
mee ngs to get those perspec ves."
