It's so important to con nue advoca ng, researching, learning to do produc on be er, marke ng and to support safe farming. It takes me and effort to be a director as there is a lot of reading and learning to do, but I would recommend anyone to step up and get involved. You will find it rewarding and fun." "Being a director on the Alberta Pulse Growers was a very valuable experience, both for professional and personal reasons," he explained. "I enjoyed the ag poli cs side of things which never seemed to be dull in the pulse world. Ensuring grower dollars were well u lized and put to work effec vely and with many partnerships was also a highlight. But ul mately the best thing I took away from si ng on the board was the rela onships with the excellent staff and fellow growers from across Alberta and Canada. I would encourage all growers to consider stepping forward as all perspec ves on pulse issues are unique and can have a real influence on our industry."
