Email Security PW Update

Our email service has been experiencing service interruptions and delays caused by weak passwords on many user’s email accounts. We are enforcing a new password policy on our mail server so we can continue to maintain a high level of credibility and stability for all users.

You may have received an email from Hok Nik/Netalberta Internet Services  asking you to update your password.

Please follow the instructions below to complete this update. If you have forgotten or don't know your current email password please check the email that was sent to you or contact us at 780-944-9951 and press 5.

You must choose a new password that:

  • Is a minimum 8 characters long – 10 is preferred
  • contains at least 2 numbers
  • contains at least 3 letters
  • contains at least 1 uppercase letter
  • Passwords cannot be the same as your email address or aliases

Log into your Web-Mail mailbox:  http://mail.netalberta.com

  1. Click Tools
  2. Click Accounts
  3. Enter Old Password
  4. Enter New Password and confirm it
  5. Click OK

After you have updated your password, you must remember to update the other email clients (Outlook, iPhone etc.) with the new password you’ve just created.

If you do not change your password at this time and your old password expires, here’s what you do.

Simply log into your webmail mailbox with your current password and you will be prompted to choose a new password.  After you have updated your password, you must remember to update the other email clients (Outlook, iPhone etc.) with the same new password.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
