Non-Editable Modules Restrictions on a CMS website As outlined earlier, each page on a CMS website consists of several modules that contain text, images, video, etc. In order to make things as easy as possible for CMS Registered Users, only the modules that contain content which changes often and which are relatively easy to edit are accessible. This is a practical consideration; by having these restrictions, users cannot accidentally delete or modify any module or content that is crucial to the operation of the website. For the most part, Registered Users will have access to the text modules that contain the bulk of the content on a website. Changes to text and adding of images are the most common edits that Registered Users will be making. Modules that contain "complicated" content such as Flash animations, contact forms or site navigation are not editable by Registered Users. If you need any changes to noneditable modules, please contact the Hök Nik Web Team, who can make those changes for you. For practical and security reasons, there are limits to what Registered Users can do on a CMS website. These include: 14 • • • • Adding pages or modules. Adding Registered Users or Contributors or Guests. Changing user names or passwords for Registered Users or Contributors or Guests. Changing design elements (Flash animation, colours, graphics, page layout). If you need any changes to these restrictions, please contact the Web Design Team at Hök Nik for assistance.
