If you follow hockey, you know the Blackhawks won the last game in an unprecedented, shocking comeback.
Among us, a flurry of incredulous emails followed the loss—many with the subject heading: 'Nooooo!' But
the next day we got to see Al's ride up close and all that shock drained away and was replaced with awe.
Bobby Orr once said, "Forget about style; worry about results." When you put that quote into the context of
Al Petersen's creation you have to say that Al nailed both: this car has style and gets results. Al's always been
a Bruins fan and he's had an equally long love affair with Austins. He began working on his first Austin project
in the early 70s when he was in his late teens in Calgary. At that time he had three Austin's, two were organ
donors for the main build which was a Saloon A40. He never completed that car as he had to leave Calgary
for work on the East coast, but the Austin bug had bit him and left its mark. "I have always liked the shape of
the Austins, right from that first car," says Al.
