Keepin' it Simple
So here I am, standing in front of GarageShots world headquarters smoking
Marlboros and drinking a $50 bottle of bourbon out of a red plastic cup with Steve.
And I am cursing technology.
I just found out a few seconds into our half hour interview that the miracle of
technology, that's somehow my phone and my recorder, stopped recording. These
damn hip computers. So small and complicated. To break the awkwardness of the
technological glitch, we go outside and stand in the rain for a short break.
"What kind of engine did you say you put in the sedan?" I ask. "Pinto," he says.
"With what kind of horsepower?" "About 88," he replies. "To the ground or at the
flywheel?" I ask, as if it would make a difference, and we both laugh.
