L E T T E R F RO M T H E P U B L I S H E R NEARLY 100 CANADIAN BUILDS & COUNTING D A R R E N G R E E N W O O D When we set out five years ago, our goal was to produce Canada's premier art magazine for hot rods and customs. Due to rising costs, mostly due to postage and prin ng, we have had to make some hard decisions on the future of GarageShots magazine. This issue is the result of those decisions. In order to maintain the quality you have come to expect, we will now be a semi-annual publica on. However, each issue will now have twice as much editorial content and be in a larger format. Unlike a lot of U.S. magazines, we are completely independently owned and do not rely on a vast publishers network of magazines for adver sing revenue. We have counted on several Canadian companies and a few American ones, that you have seen in GarageShots over the last five years, to get us where we are today. Without their support, we would no longer be here. We are looking for more of those companies in the industry, that may like to help us promote the great hot rod and custom car industry that we have here North of the 49th. We o en hear at car shows and events, that there are not enough Canadian publica ons, focusing on Canadian cars, and that there is nothing like our magazine in the market. In order to stay in business, we need your help. Share Garageshots with your friends and neighbours, that may not yet be familiar with our magazine. Be er yet, give them a subscrip on for the upcoming holiday season or as a birthday or thank you gi . Each new reader gives us a be er founda on to move forward. If you have a ride in your garage that you think your fellow Canadians should see and read about, give us a call or send us an email. GarageShots has featured close to 100 Canadian builds over the last five years and with your support and the support of the hot rod/customs adver sing community, we hope to con nue featuring these amazing builds. They truly are works of art, and are what inspired us to create GarageShots over five years ago. With that, we would like to send out a special thanks to Wadson's Hot Rod Parts. Wayne started his build and parts shop 37 years ago in 1979. This past summer, he closed his doors and will now be spending more me with his wife and family. Wayne was a great supporter of the magazine and we had the pleasure to feature several of his builds over the past few years. Thanks Wayne and we hope you enjoy your re rement. And a hearty thanks to all those who have supported us in the first five years and we hope to work with all of you for many years to come. Darren 6 G A R A G E | S H O T S
