Ga ra g e | sh o t s a '29 Chevy comes home to the Good ol' days There are a few things in life I am sure everyone wants back after they let them go. For Gary Steeves it was his 1929 Chevrolet. Gary is the namesake of Gary Steeves Insurance which offers Insurance Coverage for Modified, Street Rod & Custom Automobiles and they are Atlantic Canada's leading insurer of collectible automobiles. Gary's son Trent now runs the insurance company, but his dad tinkers in an authentic 40s White Rose Service Station. We were down in Moncton, New Brunswick, to take in the Atlantic Nationals car show in July. It was a fabulous week of meeting new people, seeing some great cars and taking in those amazing maritime drives that we'd often heard about. On one of these drives on Highway 114 we stopped in at the town of Hillsborough at Steeves Good Ol' Days Garage. We had made arrangements to meet Trent Steeves who was to show us his family's authentic White Rose Service Station which has been in the Steeves family since 1946. As we were getting out of our car another gentleman walked across the road, which turned out to be Gary Steeves himself. Gary and Trent took some time out of their day to show us some of their family history and shared some great stories of times past. 58
